|
Routing can be done on parts up to 1/2" thick. Any slot or edge configuration can be routed with the proper jig design. Pneumatic hand-held routers with 1.5 hp. and 20,000 rpm operating characteristics are used due to the high friction loads generated during use. Fluted router bits plated with coarse grit diamond work the best in cutting quickly and removing dust efficiently to prevent bit overheating.
